My Coaching Approach
Before coaching full-time, James spent nearly a decade in real estate sales and leadership, where he saw a familiar pattern repeat itself. Talented agents worked harder every year, earned more on paper, and gradually lost control of their time, energy, and relationships. The problem was rarely motivation. It was structure.
His approach was shaped during that time at Keller Williams, an organization known for its emphasis on models, systems, and professional development. Working in that environment reinforced the importance of structure, accountability, and disciplined execution. The models work. Where most professionals struggle is not understanding them, but applying them consistently when real-world pressure sets in and markets shift.
James brings a practical, grounded approach to coaching that blends strategy, accountability, and clarity. His work helps agents simplify their business, focus on the highest-leverage activities, and build systems that support consistent production rather than constant urgency.
His coaching philosophy is rooted in a simple belief. Peak performance and personal well-being are not competing goals. The most effective professionals are not the busiest ones. They are the most intentional.
Background and Experience
James’s background extends beyond real estate. Prior to coaching, he owned and managed a marine construction company, where he developed a deep appreciation for operational discipline, leadership under pressure, and building teams that perform in the real world, not just on paper. That experience continues to shape his coaching style today.
Beyond the Business
Outside of his professional work, James is actively involved in his community, including volunteering with his local Scout Troop. He enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, boating, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He is married to his wife Lauren and is a proud father to their children, Julie and Jimmy.
These experiences inform how James coaches. He understands firsthand that success is hollow if it costs everything else. James Streit's work is designed to help clients win in business while staying present in their lives.
